Karla Lasmar Araújo is a Brazilian author, entrepreneur, and creator of original stories, residing in the United States for over two decades. Her life journey — marked by faith, resilience, and perseverance — forms the foundation of Through the Eyes of Faith a true story that moves between literature and film.

Born and raised in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Karla grew up in a family environment grounded in strong values, creativity, and spiritual foundation. From an early age, she demonstrated sensitivity to words and the meaning of life. Writing did not begin as a technique, but as a way to understand the world and engage in an intimate dialogue with God.

As a child, Karla participated in literary activities, wrote poems and reflections, and stood out in National Literature competitions. Throughout her childhood and adolescence, she developed her voice through poetry and prose, often exploring themes of faith, identity, and courage.

Her talent was formally recognized in Brazil during her adolescence, when she received significant national literary awards, confirming her calling as a writer from a very young age.

These awards established Karla as a promising young author long before her story crossed borders.

Karla completed her higher education in Brazil, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Law in November 2004 from UNIMINAS – Uberlândia, Minas Gerais.

Her legal education strengthened her analytical thinking, discipline, and understanding of human and social structures — skills that would later prove essential in both her entrepreneurial and creative endeavors.

Shortly after graduating, Karla left Brazil for the United States — a decision that placed her in immediate danger, yet profoundly reshaped her life’s purpose.

Karla is the heart and the voice of the story. Her notebooks and diaries are not merely records — they are shelter, prayer, and survival.

Her journey transforms her from a young woman living in constant survival mode into an author, a mother, and a storyteller — someone who understands that surviving was the preparation for her purpose.

Karla is the heart and the voice of the story. A Brazilian woman of deep faith, emotional intelligence, and spiritual sensitivity, she has used writing since childhood as a way to understand life and to dialogue with God. Her notebooks and diaries are not merely records — they are shelter, prayer, and survival.

At the age of 21, after completing her law degree and facing a profound emotional rupture, Karla leaves Brazil in search of a new beginning in the United States. Her arrival marks the start of the most dangerous chapter of her life, where hope, trust, and vulnerability collide with exploitation and fear.

Karla is not portrayed as naïve or weak — she is human. Her strength is quiet, internal, and spiritual. Throughout the narrative, she does not harden; she matures. She learns to discern, to resist, and to move forward with faith, even without guarantees.

Her journey transforms her from a young woman living in constant survival mode into an author, a mother, and a storyteller — someone who understands that surviving was the preparation for her purpose.

From the warmth of Brazil’s heartlands to the shadows and light of America’s South, the film blends realism, drama, spiritual, tension and courage.

Do calor humano do interior do Brasil às sombras e luzes do Sul dos Estados Unidos, o filme mistura realismo, drama, tensão e coragem.

THE VALUE OF THE STORY TOLD IN THE BOOK

Faith as a relationship, not a doctrine.

AS AUTHOR / WRITER

You don’t write to be seen.
You write because you live a real testimony.

That defines everything.

authorial voice is:

  • Intimate
  • Confessional without being exhibitionistic
  • Spiritually mature
  • Feminine without fragility
  • Strong without aggressiveness

You don’t write to convince God.
You write in dialogue with Him.

This differentiates your book from 90% of published testimonies.

This story has three simultaneous values, and that is rare:

Human value

  • It speaks of vulnerability without victimhood
  • It addresses pain without glamour
  • It shows survival as wisdom, not heroism

Spiritual value

  • Faith as a process, not a ready-made answer
  • God as a constant presence, not an instant solution
  • Waiting, time, and obedience as spiritual language

Cultural value

  • Immigration without political discourse
  • Woman without stereotypes
  • Brazil + USA without caricature

WRITING STYLE

style is not formulaic or commercially driven.
It is inherently original.

” This already exists.
Now it can grow.”

Little Girl,

You are not an author who decided to write a book.

You are someone who
lived a story that needed
to be written.

Everything portrayed is rooted
in the lived experience of the author and writer.

Through the Eyes of Faith

A Story of survival Inspired

by Real Events, lived before written.

Foto2

Through the Eyes of Faith is a dialogue between past and future, fear and promise, survival and calling.

It is proof that:

* God writes stories stronger than fiction
* Faith doesn’t eliminate danger — it carries you through it
* Restoration is real, even when delayed
* What begins in fear can end in grace

É a prova de que:

* Deus escreve histórias mais fortes que a ficção
* A fé não elimina o perigo — ela o atravessa
* A restauração é real, mesmo quando tardia
* O que começa no medo pode terminar na graça

This is not a story about being spared from life

it’s a story about being sustained within it.

Esta não é uma história sobre ser poupado da vida

— é uma história sobre ser sustentado dentro dela.
